While conducting soil investigation or geotechnical test, contractors require Automatic Trip Hammer / Free Fall Hammer to conduct the SPT (Standard Penetration Test).This automatic trip hammer is designed to push or hammer the Split Spoon Sampler with a standard weight of 63.5 Kg with exact length of 75cm fall.Automatic trip hammer eliminates the human error of measurement and lifting the weight and then dropping on split tube sampler. Test Procedure as described in the British Standard BS EN ISO 22476-3 , ASTM D 1586 and IS 2131 Hammer is generally provided with AW box thread to carry out SPT test with standard AW drill rod as per BS 1377.

During use, the matrix, in which diamonds are impregnated is worn out constantly, ensuring the new, sharp diamonds become active.

The diamond size of these bits are very small, thus these diamond drilling bits are used in medium hard to very hard and broken formations.

Product Details:

Situated just above the diamond core bit, reaming shell maintains the outside diameter of the drill hole.

Diamond Reaming Shell connects the diamond core bit with core barrel. Since its slightly more in outside diameter than the core bit, reaming shell does job of reaming the hole.

Drilling crew should constantly check the outside diameter of the reaming shell as less diameter of reaming shell or a worn out reaming shell will result in stuck bit and drill string.

Wireline Reaming Shells are provide with TC inserts (Tungsten Carbide).

Reaming Shells are set with fully processed natural diamonds. Synthetic diamond (impregnated type) reaming shells are also manufactured.

Reaming shells are manufactured in three matrix:

• Standard Matrix
• Medium hard matrix
• Hard Matrix
